Project 1
Audio Story
Due Date: Oct 1st

DESCRIPTION:
This project asks you to create a short audio non-fiction narrative using dialog, natural sounds, and music on adobe audition or audacity. The content and plot of the story is completely up to you, but you must reference ideas of storytelling and narrative we discussed in class. Your piece should utilize your skills in interviewing, narrative structure, narration, radio storytelling/journalism, and idea/concept creation. Your piece may be about someone’s personal story, revolve around an interesting or abstract concept or idea, or be about timely events. Use the assigned readings to guide you and inspire you.

There are endless ways to create a story with this project, and your grade will be based on how well you capture the story, not necessarily the idea or story itself. Remember, great storytelling can make something out of nothing and make almost anything interesting. How you make a strong story is all based on how you gather information, how you edit, piece together bits and details, and add music and natural sounds to grab and ground the listener.

Project Requirements:
Gather, record, or create all sound effects and music.
Project should be roughy 3-5 minutes long.
Include atleast:
    1 dialog or interview clip
    1 narration clip
    1 clip of natural/ambient sound
    1 clip of music

Centered around a topic, story, or concept
Use editing, multi-tracking, and cross fading to bring the audio to life and create interest
